A really simple recipe is ah-so sauce and a center cut pork roast. I put the pork roast in cover it with ah-so sauce and cook it all day on low and its done when I get home from work. The kids love it.
wow, there are lots. My basic one is for an all day soup...love it!
2-3 frozen chicken breasts, 1 can cream of chicken, 1 can cream of mushroom, 1 -2 can chicken stock, pepper, red pepper flakes, 4-5 peeled diced potatatoes, 2 onions diced, some garlic diced. Let cook on low all day8-10 hours. That night cut up the chicken with a fork, add some cheese of choice to your bowl and maybe bacon too. You have the best cream of potato and chicken soup in the world.
Chili - just throw everything in the crock pot, cook it on low for 10-12 hours, and you've got the best chili going.
wow - easiest pork tenderloin you'll ever make:
put the pork tenderloin into the crockpot
add some seasoning (whatever you like - but I use a dry creole blend)
put the lid on and heat on low overnight (10 - 14 hours)
(no, you don't even need to add liquid - but if you prefer, add a small amount (1/4 cup) of apple juice or chicken broth)
When that pork is done, it will shred when you rake a fork across it - now you can use it for sandwiches, or even better, cut it up and use it in a super-quick stir fry! YUMMY!
Another thing you can do at the end of the cooking time is empty a can of crushed pineapple in (juice and all) with about a cup of minute rice and a dash of soy sauce - put the lid back on, give it another 15 minutes or so on high heat, and you've got a tasty sweet %26amp; sour deal going on.
Enjoy!
