Do you have any good simple recipes for a 6 month old baby that can be frozen?

I have been making all her meals myself but I'm running out of ideas and don't want to kee giving her the same thing.

I don't think (but I may be wrong) that you freeze BabiesDo you have any good simple recipes for a 6 month old baby that can be frozen?
Most things that you eat can be liquadised and put into little pots then frozen.I know they say that they are supposed to have certain things but i always made the same as what we had, just make little extra and as long as it has been processed to a smooth consistansy its ok.Spag bol, chicken supreme, soups, roast dinners, carrots and mash, broccli and cheese, macoroni chese, veg risoto, lasagne, its hard as the tinned stuff and packet stuff is pretty repetative. The hipp food range seems to have a good variety of good foods, that have alot of veg in them.
Any fruit and vegetable can be frozen, same with any meats you may be giving her (blended of course). Try combining friuts and vegis, like carrots and turnip together or apple and strawberry.

My mom made all her own food for me. She would just throw whatever she had into the food processor. You can do it too, then you won't have to make sepatate things for your daughter.
try this, my son loved it and it doesnt taste like i thought it was actually quite yummy! i have a baby recipe book and this is from it!

Good Luck
it's easy my dad cooked this recipes alternately for my little brother. before preparing your baby's food, you should first wash your hands and make it sure that all the things that you will use is always clean(DON'T USE ADDITIVES NOR PRESERVATIVES SUCH AS SALT AND VETSIN)

for monday: congee ';nilugao in filipino'; with carrots(you should blend it until it will become smooth)

for tuesday: congee with banana exclude the black portion.same procedures

for wednesday: congee with squash same procedures.

for thursday: congee with sayote same procedures. for the left days just cook this recipes alternately so that your baby won't get bored. always remember don't feed squash and carrots in consecutive days just put banana or sayotein between. i refer this recipes to you because my brother had eaten this kind of recipe and he is so healthy. you can also have congee with potato, congee with camote. just blend it until it become smooth.
you can pretty much freeze anything. Fresh fruits are simple and easy. Try walking through the grocery store's produce to give you fresh ideas, cookbooks are good too. Pastas, bread, and sauces can be mixed and matched. My son has allergies to lots of food, and it gets hard. But, just try matching it to what you eat. Health food stores are good too.
Hi. My son is now 10 months old and loved all my cooking (well someone had too!)

I used to get a tin of chopped tomato's, a courgette and a tin of sweetcorn (no sugar or salt). Cook the courgette and then whack the whole lot in the blender. Freeze in portions and serve with baby pasta or I found soup/salad pasta was just right for babies mouth size! You can get it in Sainsburys, never seen it anywhere else though!

Now I make the same sauce for his pasta and add fresh basil and cooked chicken, mince or tuna. (sometimes with grated cheese)

Also I used to alternate the courgette with boiled carrots.

Another one he loved was my root veggie medley. Carrots, parsnips and potato. I mashed it instead of blending it to give him different textures. Sweet potato and carrots was a big hit and cauliflower and broccoli mush!

Dessert wise cook eating apples until softened and give in (refridgerated) chunks to easy itchy gums or for a proper pud I used to cook up a bag of apples and a punnet of blueberries and freeze in portions. My apple, pear and Cinnamon (a bag of each fruit and a level teaspoon of Cinnamon) was enjoyed. And berry surprise went down well. Strawberries, blueberries and raspberries with a bag of apples.

Now he is 10 months he has fish fingers (with breadcrumbs off!) boiled potato's, baked beans, melon chunks and all sorts.

Anything else I can do just drop me a line! Good luck!
What do want to freeze your kid for???

Oh....shoot, I'm sorry; I misread that.

No I don't have any idea's for the child's meals. Whenever I think of the freezer all I see is ice-cream, and that's not good enough is it?
I just boil or steam vegies...separate from each other then mash and freeze them in ice cube trays. Once frozen transfer them to ziplock bags so they stay fresh and when it is dinner time you can mix and match for her to give her something different all the time. Or if we have left overs, I will blend them up and freeze them...always marking the bags so I know what's what. I also just blend a little of whatever we are eating for my babies...there isn't any need to make them separate food all the time. Best of luck.
i make a chicken soup/stew for my 12 month old which can be given from 6 months. You make it by buying SALT REDUCED CHICKEN STOCK, CHICKEN (cut into peices) cook for a while till chicken is cooked, THAN ADD VEGIES (like potatoe, carrot, pumkin, brocili, cauliflowe鈥?sweet potatoe and what ever your baby likes) COOK TILL IT IS ALL COOKED AND THAN PUREE TO A CONSISTANCY THAT YOUR BABY CAN EAT. and it is frezzable, Good luck and my baby loves it.
When mine were very young they used to love mashed up fruits of various types with their favourite being (very ripe) banana and avocado. I froze the avocado very successfully but banana was easy to take with us anyway. All of mine hated baby rice. I have no idea why they recommend it as a first food as it is bland and not that nutritious. Fresh organic fruit is full of vitamins and carbs and tastes much better!

Later on I used to just liquidise whatever we were eating one night and they were happy with that the next night. I just froze any of this so that I could have a few meals in reserve. This worked for us as we mainly cook from scratch and do not use ready meals etc with loads of salt and preservatives in them.

I think that the thing to remember is that everything is so new to a baby that they do not get bored with foods quite as easily as we do so variety is not so important at first.

This site may help:
puree peas with a sprig of mint...

pretty much ANY vegetable

most fruits, avoid high citrus

mix veggies together (only ones the baby has tried alone for allergy reasons)

and mix fruits as well.
