Use it in a great vinegarette, or drizzle over fresh strawberries that have been sweetened just a tad.

I make potatoes that my husband loves with it.

Wash, and peel some red skin or yukon gold potatoes and boil salted until tender, drain till nice and dry return to pan, and add butter, sour cream, fresh chives just fold until the butter and sour cream has melted. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar and serve immediately. Delish.Does anyone know any simple recipes that uses balsamic vinegar?
FRESH TOMATO SAUCE WITH BALSAMIC VINEGAR

12Roma tomatoes, seeded and chopped

1/2cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

1tablespoon fresh garlic, chopped

1tablespoon olive oil

1/4cup fresh Parmesan, grated

1splash balsamic vinegar

Saute garlic and basil in hot oil until essence is released to the oil. Add chopped tomatoes and cook to desired consistency. Stir in a splash of balsamic vinegar and allow the sauce to cook just a minute longer. Sprinkle with the Parmesan. Serve with pasta.

Yield: 3-4 servings
balsamic vinegar makes great marinades on steaks, dressings, and dips for bread.

i put balsamic vinegar and chopped fresh garlic in a ziploc with a couple steaks that i poked with a fork a couple of times to get the flavors throughout, then marinate them in the fridge for a couple hours. sometimes i grill or broil the steaks afterwards they come out nice and juicy and fabulous.

you can also combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and garlic salt on top of a nice salad which is tasty.

i also learned a nice olive oil dip in the italian restuarant i worked this summer you put a little olive oil and about 1/3 as much balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper. very very tasty to dip bread in.

have fun i love cooking with balsamic vinegar
extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar, slice tomato, romaine lettuce, thin sliced red onions ,shredded carrots, cooked grill chicken breast, cucumbers, kosher salt, black pepper toss everything together in a salad bowl and serve you can use spinach instead of lettuce and measure to how much you need the oil and vinegar should be equal amounts.
Salad is a common easy dish to use balsamic vinegar on. You can also reduce balsamic vinegar down to make a tasty, concentrated sauce to put over meat etc.
I like a light salad of spinach with good extra virgin olive oil, a splash o balsamic and some good sea salt/fresh cracked pepper, maybe a little parmesan cheese. you're in heaven
