QUICK %26amp; EASY CHICKEN POT PIE
Serves family of 4 serving each. This recipe is very hearty and filling. Usually one serving is enough for each person, but you can use 1 more can of biscuits and larger cans of veggies for more servings or leftovers. Preheat oven to canned biscuits recommendation.

1 tsp chopped onion flakes
1 can chicken broth
2/3 cup milk
1 large can chicken breast
1 single serving size can green peas
1 single serving size carrots
1 can peeled, sliced potatoes
salt and pepper to taste
1 can biscuits (homestyle best used)
9'; square baking dish
Over medium heat, brown flour and onion flakes in melted butter.
Stir in broth and milk.
Add chicken and vegetables, stirring until well blended.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Lightly grease baking dish. Press 陆 can of the biscuits out to be a little flatter, so they won't rise a lot and will be ';crust-like';. Place the pressed biscuits on bottom of dish. Pour chicken mixture over biscuits. Top with remaining biscuits.
Bake according to biscuit can directions.Children's Meals, does anyone have simple recipes for meals kids will definetly eat?

Besides the old standby (chicken fingers/nuggets and mac %26amp; cheese) I've found that most kids like salmon and rice! Just take salmon fillets (no bones) and marinate ( I use brown sugar, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and fresh ground pepper). Bake in foil at 350 degrees until flakes easily (about 15 min) and serve with rice. Otherwise I've found that one dish meals are more appealing to kids (spaghetti, lasagna, casseroles, etc).
Ive never known a kid that would eat this
Tater Tot Casserole
';Such an easy recipe, but so tasty! Moist inside and crispy on top! A complete meal in one pan.';
6 to 8 servings
INGREDIENTS
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
4 cups frozen mixed vegetables
1 (19 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 (32 ounce) package frozen potato rounds
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Spray 9x13 glass baking dish with cooking spray.
Spread hamburger into bottom of pan, covering entire bottom, gently tamping beef down. Sprinkle with diced onions. Layer frozen veggies as next layer. Cover with the soup, straight from the can, carefully spreading with spatula to cover entirely.
Layer tater tots on top, covering entire top with tots. Bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees) for 1 hour, or until hamburger is done. Check after 30 minutes; if tots are getting too brown, turn down to 350 degrees F (190 degrees C).
One of my kids is still a bit fussy. Especially of she's too hungry to wait if you know what I mean. So a quick t-time or lunch favourite (which they can help with) is fish cakes.
We just microwave a potato per person and take the skin off (so it's like mash or if you'd rather boil your spuds do that) Add a drop of milk, half a can of tuna per person mash all together and form into a big ball shape. Put some fresh breadcrumbs on a plate and squash the ball into a flatter shape and cover all over in the breadcrumbs.
Fry in little oil and butter until it's the colour your kids'll like and serve with whatever veg you can get them to eat. Or just baked beans. Takes 5-10 minutes from start to finish.
Or use Salmon if they like that. Add seasonings and herbs if your kids aren't scared of black or green specks like mine is!
Make them into fish shapes if you'd rather. Have fun
I have thousands of simple recipes for things that children of any age will definitely eat. The problem is not ';what they will eat'; but the ';games they will play.'; Many children (and parents) use food as a means of control. This is how you end up with children that are overweight or anorexic.
Healthy children with well balanced diets like all of the same exact things that grown ups do. In our house pate, Mexican, Thai, veggie platters and a huge variety of cheeses have always been popular.
Serve a wide variety of food - including lots of vegetables and fruit.
Serve ';dessert'; only on weekends and special occasions.
Put about 1/3 of what you think they ';should'; eat on their plates. Our eyes are often bigger than little one's stomachs.
NEVER use food as either a punishment or a reward!
Stay positive. Expect your kids to like what you serve.
#1 Rule: This is what is for dinner. You do not have to eat dinner. You may make yourself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich instead if you prefer not to eat dinner. But be aware that if you do not eat dinner you do not get dessert or snack later.
#2 Rule: Things you are ';sure'; they won't like are stated to be ';only for grownups.'; Works like a charm every time.

I seem to be lucky that mine eat most things but one they do like is Sausage surprise.
Cook some rice till al dente, drain the water then transfer to a shallow dish. Add a tin or two of tomato soup, plus extra milk/water if needed. Add some frozen peas and some chopped cooked sausages.
Cook until the rice has absorbed the liquid.
You can also omit the par boiling the rice part but it just ensures that the rice is cooked.
fruit salsa. it's simple it just takes a little bit of time.
You can use as much or as little as you like. and vary the fruit to your tastes... but i use
raspberries (frozen then thawed)
strawberries(same^^^)
fresh Kiwi about 4
green apples about 3
2 cans of crushed pinapple
and about 3tbsp of preserves.
I use the frozen fruit because it tends to retain more juice or water. anyway it helps make it more liquidy. you mix all that together to get a salsa like consistancy
then you take tortilla's cut them into wedges spray with cooking spray. sprinkle with cinnamon sugar, then coat again with spray...
bake about 10 mins.
and eat that with the salsa.... it sounds time consuming but really it takes about 30 mins total and I make lots and freeze it so i always have it on hand.
my kids love it, and they get a lot of fruit in their diet!
macdonalds lol
only joking but what u want to think about is what u know they love for example mackdonalds taking them there might be exspencive so u want to think along the lines of fast food for example make a burger with chips or if they like kfc then make them bbq chiken with chips and maybe peas
Celery with peanut butter and raisins=ants on a log
Shaped sandwiches
Mac and cheese try adding fun colors :)
grapes and banannas, apples and oranges make a salad and add marshmellows
Hotdogs, add little tooth picks and try to make little men out of them.
Kids will eat alot of things if you make it fun for them!
Hot dogs and beans- Get a can of Bushes bakes beans and cut the hot dogs up into small slices and put them in the beans cook slowly over a low heat.
Break up some ground beef or ground turkey cut up one small onion and half of a green pepper. two spoons of olive oil. Place olive in a skillet heat slowly then add your meat along with the other ingredients cook unilt the meat is brown. meanwhile boil some water in a sauce pan add a little salt to the water. When the water starts to boil add some elbow macaroni to the water. Cook for about 9 mins then drain the water off the macaroni, drain the liquids off the meat. Place meat and macaroni in a cassarole dish mix everything together along with your favorite spaghetti sauce. You can also put cheese on the top then bake for 30 mins
My kids always loved when I made them and egg in a Basket.
You take uncooked bread and use a biscuit cutter to cut out the center. Butter both sides of the bread and ';hole'; put them into a frypan on medium and crack your egg into the hole in the center, salt and pepper it and cook as usual, turning it over to brown on both sides. Fry/brown the ';holes'; too as this is their toast.
Here are some things I have figured out over the years.
~Kids love things they can eat with toothpicks. Cook and cut up some hot dogs, squirt some ketchup on plate and poke toothpicks in the dogs. Serve with cooked carrots with toothpicks in them (or raw).
~Grilled cheese cut into shapes with cookie cutters and offer ranch as a dip. I cut them into fingers.
~ham and cheese roll ups. Roll ham and cheese up in a tortilla and slice into little pinwheels. Again, poke with toothpicks and offer something to dip into.
~Cheese quesedillas, always a hit with little ones.
~pigs in blankets or corn dogs are often loved by little ones. You can let them help you do the pigs in blankets (wrap hot dog with a canned biscuit and bake)
mac and cheeze with hot dogs
make some chicken tenders with some fries and honey-mustard sauce.
i also make spaghetti carbonara for my nieces and nephews and it's always a hit.
boil some spaghetti as per package instructions
in a pan, fry some bacon that's sliced into bits and pieces (without oil as it will render some oil on its own) when bacon is almost done, add a little minced garlic(optional), then add some white onions, chopped small. cook until onions are tender and translucent. then season with salt and pepper. add some canned buttom mushrooms, and then, add cream. let the cream thicken a bit (by this time your pasta's about done). drain your pasta then add it to the mixture. let the mixture coat your spaghetti then turn off the heat. lastly, toss the whole spag mixture with 1 eggyolk (dont worry, the heat of the spag will cook the yolk) serve with parmesan cheese.
Here are a couple of my favorites:
Wienie Winks
Put a slice of cheese on a piece of bread, put a hot dog on it diagonally, wrap the corners up around the dog and put toothpicks in it to hold the bread. Put some butter on the crusts and bake them at 350 until the cheese melts and the bread starts to toast.
Party Pizzas
Cook a can of biscuits, pull them in half, top them with pizza or spaghetti sauce, cheese and whatever pizza toppings they like and bake them until the cheese melts and sauce is bubbly.
