Ranch chicken tenders
Get some boneless, skinless chicken breasts and cut them into your desired sizes, then roll them in a packet of ranch dressing mix. You can also put it all in a ziploc bag and shake them up. Cook them at 350 until they are no longer pink inside. Serve it with some pasta salad.Anyone know any simple recipes for a beginner cook?
Spaghetti is always an easy one. When you cook the noodles, make sure to put a little oil or salt in with the water so the noodles don't stick together. Heat a can/ jar of spaghetti sauce in a pan. Serve with a salad. Can't go wrong. You're a sweetheart for helping out your mom with the cooking. I'm sure she'll appreciate anything you cook.

Yes!
For one thing, you can make up two boxes of mac-and-cheese dinner mix according to the instructions on the package. To this, you can add either:
8 hotdogs, sliced into 1/4'; slices (or 3/8';) and 1 cup grated cheese
OR 1 or 2 cans of tuna and a small box of frozen peas
OR 2 cans chili (with or without beans).
If you do the cheese dogs or the chili, serve a green veggie (fresh is best, then frozen, then canned -- frozen and canned come with heating instructions, of course) with it. These suggestions will serve four or five or even six people. If it's just two of you, use one box mac-and-cheese and halve the measurements for everything else.
If you want some other simple recipes, email me and I'll share some more. I have some good ones that are simple, but take a little more cooking time, for things like beef roast, chicken, and such.
