I'm 16 and I just started cooking, and I was wondering if there was a website with basic recipes on it so I could work my way up. I really do enjoy cooking, and want to get better at it :).
Please recommend a cookbook if you know of any.Simple recipes for someone just starting to cook?

I started with sites like campbellskitchen.com and kraftfoods.com. These have easy recipes with ingredients that a new cook are familiar with. You can also search for a dish that is you favorite and see how many different ways you can find to prepare it. Then you can progress to areas where everything is made from scratch or into more gourmet areas with ingredients not widely known.
Great crock pot recipes are available at about.com.
fooddownunder.com will have recipes from all over the world.
copykat.com let's you try recipes from your favorite restaurants.
recipezaar is really popular.
I have found many delicious recipes on recipegoldmine.com
My advice is to get a three ring binder with an easy to clean cover , print off some recipes, and store the ones you like and want to make again in the binder.
buy some cookbooks...wolfgang puck does some good ones with good dishes and basic recipes. epicurean.com also has some pretty good basic things. really the best way to do these things are to think up things you like and ask people that are good cooks how they cook those things. if you need any recipes feel free to message me. otherwise start out with things you can make easily and gradually move yourself up.
If the bookstore has a magazine section, look for one called Simple %26amp; Delicious.
It's perfect for beginners like you, and there are no ads! Recipes are all sent in by readers.
