Any simple recipes for a totally incompetent teenage boy?

With basic home ingredients, no scotch essence of lily flower or anything, and something that someone like me, that can just about make a feasible white sauce, can make. Also not like ';pasta with dolmio stir-in.'; I can make that lol.

Thanks :)Any simple recipes for a totally incompetent teenage boy?
You aren't totally incompetent...just probably not very experienced. Start with fresh ingredients, any fresh vegetables and a quick saute which means high heat, very little oil and move them around in the pan alot. Use fresh herbs cut up fine and a squeeze of lemon. Do the same with meat such as chicken breasts, a small steak or pork chops. Use high heat, little oil, salt pepper and a few herbs. Finish the chicken in the oven after getting both sides brown. Make sure your pan is able to go into the oven first. You can add a little bit of water or chicken broth to the pan before putting it in the oven so the meat doesn't dry out. Omelets are easy to make but keep the heat low and use a nonstick pan here. Only use 2 eggs for the omelet or it will be too big to fold over. Remember, low heat and use any veg you have on hand and cheese for fillings. Good luck and keep practicing.Any simple recipes for a totally incompetent teenage boy?
If you are a pizza eater, you will love this:

French Bread slice in half/or white bread slices (your choice).

Spread garlic butter on the bread

Add pizza sauce

Cover with cheese

Place in oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes or until cheese melts

Good thing is you can add or subtract toppings to personal taste. Try it you will like it!
Garlic bread pizza: bake frozen garlic bread according to the wrapper. Top with pizza sauce, cheese, toppings, and bake until cheese is melted.

Baked potato: wash, poke lots of little holes in the skin with a fork, microwave for 6 min, and check with a fork. Keep microwaving for 2 min. until soft. Top with hot canned chili and cheese for a super easy meal.

Burgers are easy: shape meat into a patty. cook in a pan on the stove (flip half way through). Put on a bun and top with whatever you like.

Cook to impress your parents/girlfriend: boil pasta, defrost frozen shrimp, steam broccoli (cut it up, put it in a bowl with a little water, cover and microwave until it's tender--or you could buy it in a steamer bag in the frozen food section). Heat up a jar of Alfredo on the stove or in the microwave. Layer the shrimp and broccoli on the pasta and top with a ladle of sauce. Sprinkle with shredded Parmesan and chopped parsley if you want it to look cooler. Serve with italian bread and olive oil with pizza seasoning in it for bread dipping.
Ground Beef

Thick Worchestershire Sauce

A bag of frozen peas and carrots

A bag of potatoes

A pint of heavy whipping cream

a jar of minced garlic

butter

rosemary

thyme

oregano

garlic powder

garlic salt

pepper

brown the beef with a tablespoon or more of the minced garlic, to taste. I like to dump the worchestershire sauce in as well, gives it a good flavor.

cook the peas and carrots to your desired level of veggies mixed in.

peel and quarter the potatoes and boil until a fork can easily cut thru one.

Sautee some garlic in half a stick of butter with the herbs

Mash the potatoes and sauteed herbs in a bowl or mixer with the heavy whipping cream until creamy.

Layer the ground beef in a cassarole dish so it fills about 2/3 up the side. Layer the mashed potatoes on top. You can top with some shredded cheese if you like and pop in the oven at 350 for about 15 minutes or until the cheese is nicely melted or the top if browning. Voila! Shepards pie
Peanut Butter Squares

1 cup of peanut butter

1/2 cup of butter/margarine

1 cup chocolate chips

melt it together on the stove over low heat. stir a lot to make sure the bottom doesn't burn. when its melted and creamy looking, add a tablespoon of vanila. when it's blended in, pour into a pan and put in the fridge for an hour or so. cut into squares
Dessert:

Get a small bowl or cup.

Pour milk (or semi-sweet) chocolate chips 1/2 way and mini marshmallows for the rest of the 1/2. Microwave for about 20 seconds. Get a grahm cracker, dip it in, and enjoy! =)
